This video shows how to install the factory fingers included with the NRS-PG-10-20 Precision Parallel Gripper in the three different standard positions.
- In the first position, the inside opening between the fingers ranges from 0 to 20 mm.
- In the second position, the inside opening between the fingers ranges from 16 to 32mm.
- And in the third position, the inside opening between the fingers ranges from 32 to 52mm.
To install or move the factory fingers you will need:
– the two Factory Fingers
-Two or three M2 by 4 mm length screws.
-Two 2 mm diameter by 4 mm length dowel pins.
– A 1.5 mm hex key wrench
– Fine-tipped pliers to grip the pins
The factory fingers, screws and dowel pins are included with the gripper.
Here the fingers are installed in the first position. The alignment pins are in the holes closest to the centerline. Align the fingers over the pins, and install the three screws in the tapped holes using the hex key wrench.
To install fingers in the second position, install the alignment pins in the two holes furthest from the centerline. Install the three screws in the tapped holes.
To install the fingers in the third position, use the same pin locations as the middle position but install only two screws, using the tapped holes furthest from the centerline.
The factory fingers are suitable for a wide variety of tasks involving automated handling of small parts with collaborative robots. Many other options are possible. Please contact us for more information.
