In this session, Stefan Friedrich reviews some typical applications for collaborative robots (cobots) and how the use of cobots in quality inspection can be applied to both traditional applications for part fabrication, as well as non-traditional applications in which cobots automate a company’s existing QC technology in the metrology lab or on the production floor.
He presents several application examples and videos, and shares industry trends within the manufacturing space that are driving customers toward automated inspection.
Friedrich has more than three years of experience with New Scale Robotics, working closely with manufacturers and distributors to identify part handling and inspection automation applications and bringing together the partners and technologies needed to solve customers’ automation requirements.
